Jeff Morris is the Founder of The SpendSmart Nation and Co-Founder of The SpendSmart Companies, (The SpendSmart Nation, Inc. and SpendSmart, Inc. - dba The journey to serve the community and families started in 2009 when Jeff and Gregory Spencer, created, a 501c (3) Nonprofit. This organization was established to provide customized and unbiased financial literacy and wellness educational workshops, webinars, and coaching in the areas of: Spending, Saving, Debt, Credit, Investing, Behavioral Economics, Leadership, and Character Development.  To serve a larger and more diverse population, Jeff’s vision lead to the creation of The SpendSmart Nation. Jeff leads a team of experts that are seeking to impact the millions of underbanked, underserved, and disenfranchised individuals, families, and small businesses that are experiencing economic and relational challenges.

    Bruce Nappi, M.S., MIT has over 25 years of experience applying behavioral concepts to medical and consumer products. Bruce is one of the nation’s leading technology futurists, researcher, evaluator, and implementer of positive management methods to empower individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve outstanding results.

    As SpendSmart’s Chief Research Scientist, Bruce oversees the aggregation and disaggregation of our data elements, ensuring qualitative and quantitative oversight. Bruce has demonstrated ability to conceive new solutions and solve longstanding problems due to his ability to envision all elements of a problem simultaneously, solve the system problem and specify the components in ways they can be built and applied. He implements positive management methods to empower teams to achieve outstanding results.

    Bruce is an author and the Founder & Director of A3 Research Institute a 501(c)3 Nonprofit. Bruce’s organization studies and applies major discoveries in human and social psychology relating to the breakdown of communications in modern society.

    • • Selected as only one of two Eagle Scouts in the nation for the North Pole Expedition in 1964.

      Terry also measures and evaluates Organizational Culture and Values. He coaches executives and management for Sustainable Quantum Leap Results. Terry Ostrowiak's career in coaching, training and personal development spans over 40 years and includes experience in over 26 countries. Terry has shared the platform with Earl Nightingale and Og Mandino. He was also responsible for supporting the global expansion of the Dale Carnegie organization.

      Karen Brake Barge has over 20 years of experience as a graphic designer, specializing in the fields of corporate identity, web design, print design and branding. Karen worked for 5 years in the video game division of GTE and 5 more years for Verizon as a web site designer. Karen will oversee the design and graphic representation of The SpendSmart message. In 2003, Karen started her own graphics design company, Red Edge Graphics. She earned a BFA Degree from The University of North Texas and a certificate from Apple Regional Multimedia Center, Texas.

      Jacob Cross is a self-taught programmer, recently, as a 9th grade student, was our first developer of the MoneTude© App. Jacob also submitted his App, “OpenGov” and won 1st Place in the First Annual Congressional App Competition in California’s 49th Congressional District. Now a 10th grade student, Jacob continues to add value to The SpendSmart Nation©. We know that the millennials are a key target market and having Jacob’s perspectives and talent is key to our ability to serve the younger generation.

      As Chairman& CEO of Jack in the Box, Inc., Lenny is responsible for the overall operations and growth of all company and franchised Jack in the Box® restaurants, as well as restaurant development. Comma joined Jack in the Box, Inc. in 2001 as Director of Convenience-store and fuel operations for the company’s proprietary chain of convenience stores called Quick Stuff®.

      Lenny serves as an advisor to SpendSmart and supports our outreach to corporations, organizations, and associations. Lenny provides his years of experience in working with SpendSmart and makes himself available to share the benefits of the resources can provide to leaders that desire to add value to their Human Resource offerings via SpendSmart’s services to employees and the community.

      Mr. Comma earned an MBA from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL., and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Lenny is an avid long distance runner and supports impacting At-Risk communities.

      Gary Yamamura has over 35 years of experience as a banking and advanced payment technology specialist, having also consulted with Visa and American Express. Yamamura has proven capabilities in the establishment and management of support organizations in the electronic commerce/banking, financial services, mass transit, smart card and traditional magnetic stripe card industries.

      Specialties Include: Project Management, Program Management, Product Management, RFP/RFQ development and execution; Contract Negotiation; Technology-based Product Development and Introduction; PCI DSS Compliance; Smart Card Technology; Payment Systems; Payment System Operations; Customer Service Operations; Procedures and Policies Development. Having served as the President of Edept, LLC, Gary oversees SpendSmart’s financials, projections, and the forecasting of business partnerships.


      Provide strategic talent leadership for global sales and marketing strategy division.
      Monica oversees strategic talent leadership for global sales and marketing @ Twitter. Previously, Monica oversaw talent acquisition at CBS Interactive and previously to that, she was the Chair of the Sony Electronics Executive Diversity Board. She has also been honored by the San Diego Urban League with a President’s Diversity Award and the Diversity MBA’s Top 100 under 50 distinction. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California Santa Barbara and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin in Marketing.

      Mark created to support the financial needs of active duty, retired, and families of our nation’s service men and women. As a Nonprofit, Mark is dedicated to empowering and supporting our nation’s heroes.

      Both Jeff Morris and Gregory Spencer were co-authors with Mark Baird on the book,
      “An American Crisis: Veterans’ Unemployment.” This book made the Amazon’s Best Seller’s List.

      HirePatriots has received many awards, including the Congressional Medal of Merit and the President’s Volunteer Service Medal, which were awarded by Presidents Bush and Obama. Mark has also been lauded by the Pentagon and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
